Sump Refugium

Hi I have the Red Sea e260 with sump upgrade. I think sump is the same dresign as the reefer 250/350‘s sumps. I wanted to add a small basic refugium for pods mainly. I don’t have any room in the main sump compartment, but there is an area where the down pipes come into prior to the filter socks which has a fair bit of room. Could this work? It would be the first chamber of the sump prior to the filter sock, reactor, skimmer and baffle.

It dont think it would work. The filter sock would filter out all of the PODs on top of it being a high flow area. Something like the POD Hotel could be placed in a low flow area of the tank. You might find a low enough flow area in the sump however it would need to be after the filter socks.
