Hello all,

I am new to the saltwater hobby and was wondering if anyone could give me some advice on my sump/refugium. I have a 90 gallon setup with approx. 75 lbs of live rock in the display and another 30 lbs of cured rubble rock in the intake are of the sump. The intake is 18 1/2 inches, refugium is 18 1/2 inches, and the return is 11 inches. I have some chaetomorpha algae and live sand in the refugium. I am seeing copepods in the algae. I was wondering how long am i gonna see results on my water paramaters since adding my sump. I am still getting brown algae in the display tank. No green hair or any other algae just brown.

Did you start with dry rock or live rock? How long has it been up and running?
Many tanks may take up to 6 mos to fully settle out.

Where in OHIO are you?
Welcome!!
