Sump/return pump question

Looking at sumps, my return pump is 8.27 inches long, the chamber on the sump i like is 8.5 inches long. Is this going to be a problem? Obviously it fits but i didnt know if i should get one with a bigger chamber for any reason.

No problem other than if it touches the sides it may make noise

Does your return pump have a guard on the front? If it does (and it's part of the 8.27"), taking it off will free up some space. If you don't need it to catch anything you can leave it off.
