I am about to put a deposit on the custom tank from CDA, 72x36x26. I am currently planning a remote sump area in the basement with a water mixing station and frag tank, etc. Looking for a sump and just can't make up my mind. Sumps currently on my short list:
Synergy reef CL-60 or 72, they offer an XL version that is not shown on their website (60 or 72 x 24 x 18)
Synergy Reef SK-60 or 72 (no XL version offered) - Are filter rollers really the cat's meow? (60 or 72x18x18)
Synergy TS-60 or 72 XL-- Triton sumps...should i skip the mechanical filtration all together? (60 or 72 x 24 x 18)
Tideline-72 (72x22x16) - 4 -7" filter socks with 4-1" drain inputs, seems like to many filter socks for the flow through 4-1 inch inputs...
Trigger Systems-don't offer anything larger than 44", didn't appear to be willing to make something custom when I contacted them.
Bashsea- they have an SS-60 (60x15x16) but looks like they would do something custom, have not contacted them yet.
Really like he Bashea and Synergy sumps, with maybe a nod to Synergy reef. Synergy uses 7" socks, Bashea uses 4". Synergy provides covers for the filter sock, fuge, and return areas, where Bashsea, at least as standard, only provided a cover for the filter sock area. Synergy offers heater holder. Appears the synergy sumps also have the ability to have 2 return pumps if needed, Bashsea only 1.
Any other brands I should be considering? Of the items listed above, what do you recommend?
