Sump set up

Happy Saturday, I have a Ehoppes 200 sump I'm setting up with 120g. Should I put bio balls ( or just eliminate bio balls) under the 2 over flow section & can I use the space under the socks as a refugium? The middle chamber I have a Octo 150int skimmer that came with the system.
Thanks for any ideas.
Don't mind the wiring nightmare, just making sure everything is working & running

Sorry I'm a novice. I would have thought it'd be too turbulent for refugium? I would put bio balls under the socks personally

I’ve had both refugium and now no refugium. There’s really no noticeable difference in my display tank. Are you considering an ATO in your return pump section? Your setup looks good though. Congrats!

Trigger systems makes nice 5g or 10g ATO containers that would fit next to your sump.
