Sump setup

That is my sump for my 220 gallon tank, sump is 40 gallons. As you can see it has 2 sections and a small middle section, just wondering if possible can I add a refugium in and how I would do it. Thank you.

It would have to be done externally, drill the sump with bulkheads and add a small refugium depending on space under your tank.

Oh yeah I see, it looks like a quality sump though, what are the flexy hoses for? Any idea?

If you go to the web site it is some sort of bubble diffuser. Better side picture on the 4 in 1 model and even better here. Optional media cartridge is also avail.

Would you reccomend that? The one I got is for saltwater so thats good

Looking at that setup it seems you should just be able to install another divider right after your return area and make a fuge in the space leading to the bubble trap. May want to add a filter to prevent any media from escaping the fuge.

Ah I see, do know what the bubble trap does? Any sort of filtering or is the name self explanatory? What kind of material should I make the divider out of?

Keeps air from making its way into your return. Fuge doesn't have to be huge. Just enough room for some chaeto. Just want to make sure it stays in that area

Divider is simple and cheap. Pick up a sheet of plexiglass and the tools to cut it. Then just silicone in place
