I picked up a used E170 Max that had a fraken-sump setup put in. It uses the Red Sea downpipes but that is it. I was able to get the sump functional with a Aquamaxx FC80 skimmer (tank health was bad...no skimmer really no filtration). It has a Hydor Seltz D AC pump (2450gph max). I'm going to get a new sump as this one is small/low walled, and won't handle a power outage.
Would there be any issues if I picked up a larger volume sump? Red Sea sumps for that tank are 9 - 11 gallons, and I'm looking at a Fiji Cube 20 which is recommended for a 60-100 gallon tank.
