I have a 90 gallon and it came with a pro clear systems sump. I don’t like how it’s setup and barely any space for skimmer and I would like a refugium. The way my cabinet is set up I don’t think I have room for a 40 breeder. I’m thinking a 29 gallon. Would that be sufficient?

Should be fine for a 90.

Should be good... I just built a 29g sump. I used the Fiji Cube baffle kit.

That's beyond good for a 90G! You're talking about a sump that's 30% of your tank size. I think most people are around 20%-25% for tank size.
Don't forget to do your build thread!
