My build date is drawing close. I have a 255g gallon tank en route and I’m wondering what an adequate sump size would be. I have a 75 gallon tank that I am considering turning into a sump....would that be sufficient? I found a listing on CL for two 60g acrylic frag tanks with really nice dimensions.... 36x24x15” tall....toying with the idea of joining them for a nice large sump. Would fit nicely under my new stand but is that overkill??? Your thoughts please.

The bigger the better. I have 100gallon sump on my 255.

Yeah.... that’s kinda what I was thinking as well....more is better!! Think I’ll have to check pricing on a pre-made sump of close to 110g versus the price of the 2 60g’s.... They are really nice but each has a center overflow section which I would need to plug and then I would also need to drill both and attach them end to end with some large bulkhead connections....
