So the set up I have came with sump, skimmer, fuge, fuge-light, heater, return pump. So im looking for the best advice in getting it up in running on a brand new non cycles tank.
Should I get the tank cycled before getting the fuge up and running or do it all at the same time been looking at the algaebarn refuge starter pack.
Thanks in advance for the info!!

I would get it all set up at the same time. You dont want to find you have problems that require removing parts or water once you are done cycling.
I would not add any livestock, plants ect to the fuge until you have some green growth or you will need to feed it so it does not die.
My ipinion is: I want bacteria to grow first to the fullest before adding other stuff. Others may have different opinions.

I would say set it all up and get it all wet/ running. But don't add algae until your tank is cycled and there is food, nitrates and phosphates, for the algae to consume.

I would start the system with macro algae then do the rest. The idea is the get and keep the system balanced and stabilized right from the beginning.

Three tests in setting up a sump.

1) insure no floods with power goes out.

to test turn the power off. The upper container should drain then stop before the lower container floods.

2) insure no floods when power returns.

To test turn the power back on. Everything should return to normal power on operation.

3) insure no floods when the drain fails.

To test block, break siphon (hob) the drain. The lower container should run out of water before the upper container floods.

return system to normal operation and mark the water level on the sump. That is your power on normal operation leve. Then never, never add water above that mark and insure the system is operating normally when you do add water.

(FWIW of forgot #3 LOL)
