I am nearing the end of my 375 gallon build (96"x30"x30") and am ready to build or purchase a sump. I want to be SPS dominant with some LPS. I have gone back and forth for the past several months on what system I want to run on the tank (Red Sea, Triton, Zeovit, Aqua Forest, Kalk, calcium reactor ect.). I have looked into the Rubbermaid stock tanks, commercial pre-built sumps and large glass aquariums to convert into a sump. Depending on what system I choose to run will determine what type of and how I set up my sump, either a large volume traditional / commercial sump or a large volume refugium style sump. What system are you running and what type and size sump do you have?

Look into the Ice Cap 48XL. For the money, it's hard to beat. Tons of features that many other commercially available sumps either don't have or would cost 2-3x as much.

I personally have the 36XL version on one of my tanks and couldn't be happier with it. I know they are available with free shipping from www.premiumaquatics.com whom is also a sponsor here.

I have I looked at the IceCap, Synery Reef, Trigger, MRC, and Geo sumps. All have their pros and cons, price definitely being one of them. I would like to increase the WC as much as possible. I also wanted to get some opinions on what supplemental system people using or worked best for them. I have read tons of information for the past several months and haven’t seen or read what system/method is better when starting a tank. I really want to nail down which method I’m going to implement before I buy, build or covert a sump.
