Hello, I've recently decided to move up to a bigger tank. I started off with a 10 gallon tank and took me 6 months to jump to a 120. I bought a pre drilled Aqueon Tank with the Mega Flow Aqueon Over flow kit. I'l post pictures below. I got just a basic of the basic setup. And I'm currently trying to get the tank going. But on a strict budget. So only can upgrade every so slowly. But this is what I have. But my main question currently. Is all I hear is this slow gurp that comes in a wave pattern. I've tried researching how to quite it. Or if I'm doing anything wrong. But no luck. If you could point me into the right way. Let me know. Thanks for taking the time to read this. Stay salty!

Your drain is transitioning from full siphon on and off or you are hearing the gurgling through that small hole in the top of the drain. Does the water level in your overflow remain at a constant height or does it fluctuate?

It appears your kit is setup to create a durso overflow. I'm not 100% versed on these, but from what I've read, the cap on top that you have the whole in is usually drilled until the noise goes away or becomes manageable. It appears they give you a pre drilled cap which may be over drilled or not drilled enough. I would do some research on durso overflows. I'm sure someone else on here will chime in as well to either validate or void what I just said.

If I'm correct in my statement, worse case scenario you just find out what size cap that is, purchase a new one from your local hardware store, and drill it your self until the gurgling/gushing goes away.

It seems to be staying in the same spot by eye. But I do notice sometimes the water comes downs faster in qaves. It seems as if a wave maker is behind the drain. If that makes since.

It also appears you have a tiny leak (white PVC top left under the bulkhead) if you haven't already noticed.
Thanks for the advice. I'll try to drill it tomarrow and see what happends. And thanks for the lookout! But I'm just waiting on getting another hose like I have for the return. Apprently getting a 1 1/2 D hose is kinda hard to come by lol

They have soft and hard plumbing.

Your Durso is to low in the overflow. If I’m not mistaken on those tanks the durso that comes with it is adjustable and can slide up and down. Before you start drill I would try raising it a little at a time until the gulping stops
