Sump tank padding

Is any padding needed under the sump tank for an acrylic sump? I think I've read somewhere that people have it under their glass tanks but I'm not sure.

I would though, especially if it is a sump in your stand. It should help cut down on vibrations, thus noise...

Pre-fab sumps should also come with documentation and have recommendations.

I used a yoga mat.
