So I had a 40 gal given to me. Is this a good sump for a 75 gal tank? It is NOT a 40 gal breeder which I wanted.

The volume is good- what are dimensions?

lxwxh is 36 x 18x 16 for a standard 40 gallon, should be fine as long as you have clearance for access and to put in and remove a protein skimmer

Might be tight in a stand. Are you sure it fits?
