Is there a certain water level height I should maintain in my sump where my return pump is located? I have a 75G reef w a 30 G Trigger sump. The water is just covering the top of the pump. Is this about right or do I need more water in my return pump tray? I tried lowering the return flow to the DT by closing the ball valve and the pump is on the lowest setting. I also tried increasing my drain flow but the level remains about the same. The return pump (varios 4). Would adding water help or would that just go to the DT?

Thanks. Steve

Add water, if you want it higher, I wouldn't mess with restricting the drain.

Also use this chamber for your ATO sensors, as this is where the evaporation will be measured.

When we take out water from the tank for frags, dips etc... add the placement water back until it gets to the height of level sensor.
