Hey everyone,

I have a Red Sea Max E 170 and I'm having issues with the water level. It has this "precision" valve but it seems no mater what I do the water level in the overflow box either eventually gets so low that it starts making noise or so high that it starts overflowing down the emergency overflow pipe. This also causes my ATO to turn on when it's not needed and dilute my water. Am I missing something here?

Thanks as always for the help.

Is there a problem with a little trickle down the emergency drain? I would set your primary drain valve so that the water slowing raises to the emergency. I will give you the most consistent water levels in the system.
