Sump water levels

Hey everyone,

I have a Red Sea Max E 170 and I'm having issues with the water level. It has this "precision" valve but it seems no mater what I do the water level in the overflow box either eventually gets so low that it starts making noise or so high that it starts overflowing down the emergency overflow pipe. This also causes my ATO to turn on when it's not needed and dilute my water. Am I missing something here?

sounds like a bad valve. Try getting it close to where you want it and just barley tapping it for precision. I've been there and it would take and hour to get it perfect. Then never touch it again lol or add secondary valve (gate valve)
