So I'm planning on building a sump out of my 20L. Question is, is the 3/8inch glass at homedepot useable for this project. And is there a way to color the glass to block light from the fug into the other chambers?

I would think the 3/8 glass should be alright. As far as coloring it I have no idea what would hold up to saltwater. I know a lot of people use krylon fusion and claim it is reef safe.

I'll give the 3/8th a shot then. I'm at a lost for a way to prevent the light however.
Thanks

I've used krylon fusion on plumbing parts inside the overflow never a problem not sure how it would work on glass also I think 3/8" would work gold for that

It is my imagination or what. I didn't know home depot had 3/8" glass. that's almost 1/2"
