Mostly best way to run it, pros and cons of this one specifically because I can't seem to find any info on this model. The part that is supposed to be the refugium seems almost to narrow to fit much.

I run this sump. I put rock rubble in the overflow chamber, mud in the refugium and mangroves. There isnt much room and really i dont know how beneficial it is. I run 200 micron in the media tray and carbon in a bag under the tray. I havent had any issues in the 6 years of owning it.

Do you not use the bio balls it came with in the overflow chamber?

No just rubble to break up the noise

Is that your tank in your picture?
And thanks for the input. Do your mangroves grow under our tank? No height issues?

Yes that is my tank, but a couple of years ago. I have since moved and decided to start over so the colonies in that pic are not what they are today. Lol. I didnt have height issues, i just kept them clipped to the max height of my light. They are more for looks than anything, not the greatest nutrient exporter. You can do cheato it just becomes another weekly task.
