My red sea reefer 300xl's plumbing is confusing me - the water in my overflow is really low, even though the water level in my sump is fine. Im pretty sure its because the knob on the pipe in the sump is not at the correct setting, but I have been messing with it by slightly turning the knob to either side for an hour now and its only making the tank gurgle louder and not affecting the water level in the overflow at all. Which direction should I twist the knob to add more water in my overflow? I'll try working with that side with more detail. Thanks

I don’t have that tank but on my RS tank (and almost all valves) if you turn the knob clockwise it will restrict the valve and should raise the water level in your overflow.

I may be hijacking inappropriately but just bought a nicely-used Red Sea Reefer 300xl here in Northern Sweden where I live and am having a hard time finding a photo of a sump setup, just so I can assemble the piping correctly for the first time... Any words of wisdom, or perhaps a photo of yours or an original instruction manual you could point me to? A little overwhelming givem the fear of water all over the living room... I am upgrading from a 60 liter setup :).
