Those of you with no sump or skimmer just a hang on the back filter. What salt mix you all use for softie, lps and easy birdsnest frags? I don’t want to dose just keep up with water changes once a month or so.

Reef crystals will do the trick for this.
But once a month is a very long time and could be bad for you. You’re not going to get great results when doing monthly water changes without dosing...
No reefer can maintain a tank with coral and expect them to grow over time with doing monthly water changes with no dosing.

This will only work at the start, as your coral grows, They will consume more and more. They’ll get to the point where they’ll deplete everything very fast and most likely cause a tank crash or coral die off.
Reef Crystals are very cheap from time to time. I bought the 5G bucket for $28 a few months ago. I stocked up! Sometimes you can get the 200G box for $35-$40.
Here’s a thought, think if you drank soda everyday for a month, then you drank water for one day, then went back to soda for a month. How would you feel?
When I do my water changes, they’re between 7-10 days, usually at 25%~30%.
