hey, so I was putting an order in on the wishlist at my LFS for black sun coral and a yellow sun coral and they were nice enough to offer me a nice freebie from one of their coral quarantine tanks.

They said they think it’s a sun coral/dendro hitchhiker but aren’t sure, it came in on one of their other coral orders. It’s pretty small, I’ve never seen a sun coral polyp this small though. I haven’t been able to get it to open yet, though I’ve had it less than 24 hours.

What do you guys think?? Could it be something else?

Looks like it...try squinting some mysis juice at him see if he'll open up....

You can also put it in your fuge for a few days first to get it eating, it makes it easier to feed. I would also suggest putting a piece of mysis or brine on it while it is closed, it will still eat it.
