Sunburst anemone deflates at night?

hey everyone! I had recently got a sunburst anemone for my tank and it my first anemone. I do have some questions about anemone behavior as all I can find pertains to rose bubbletips. At night its tentacles shrivle up but during the day it is plump and very happy is this normal? Every now and then I will see one of its tentacles curl up real fast and then slowly extend again I can never seem to see anything that it would have caught do they do this? Is it normal?
My nitrites have taken a swing up a little as I just started to feed the corals will this be OK? I'm sorry for all the questions I just want to give the guy a comfortable home

It’s normal. I wouldn’t be worried unless it stays closed for a whole day or more.

My bubble is prob 3-4+ yrs old, it sometimes pulls back into the rocks at night. Few times when ive done a waterchange its also pulled back. I wouldnt be concerned unless its shriveled during the day for.a while. Im sure most anemones have the same behavior.

Its not so much closed its Tentacles just deflate if thats the word and it'll look loose like hang down out of the rocks

I'll check in the morning hopefully when the lights are on it'll plump up do you think they can stand nitrite swings for a bit while I feed my corals?

When the anemones make 2, they all deflate to let the excrement out

Deflate after lights out, very normal.
It’s deflated when lights are on which can be a problem.
