Hello All,

I have a sunburst anthias in my tank since aug 9th. Out of the blue yesterday after feeding in the morning it has not eat food since. Seems to be hiding a little more but no sign of anything on the outside of the fish any ideas as what I should do?.

Post pictures if you can. Not eating can be a symptom of a wide range of illnesses, and there are many possible parasites that can cause lethargy and a lack of eating. Certain diseases like velvet cause sensitivity to light and therefore more hiding.

Does it have any red splotches developing?

More background information is needed. Sounds like the fish went downhill very fast. It that continued, it may not have survived, but you need to consider doing "damage control" if it was in with other fish. Here is a link to an article about how to post fish disease problem reports:

Sorry for the lack of info, I am pretty new to all of this.

He’s been In general cure for 4 days

General Cure is a mix of praziquantel and metronidazole. The prazi works against flukes, and the metro works against protozoans.

Should I re dose general cure after the water change right away ?

Here's the instructions.

Instructions. For each 10 gallons of water, empty one packet directly into aquarium. Repeat dose after 48 hours. Wait another 48 hours then change 25% of the aquarium water and add fresh activated carbon or replace filter cartridge.
