Not how I wanted to start the day before work but thank god for industrial equipment being so easily accessible for me!
And thank god it was ONLY 5 gallons but it was an overnight event so it had time to seep.
Just recently relocated the tank in a room sitting over the garage. If this was last year, I'd be ripping out the wood floor I just installed downstairs.
Crisis averted for now, stay cool reefers

Oh man..been there.
It's not fun at all, am so sorry. Glad it's not that hug..my flood involved 60 gallon on my hardwood floor I had to change flooring of the room ha ha.
Since then I now add couple of drain holes in the floor to the crawlspac behind the tank so it drain down instead of staying on the floor...

Fell your pain. My leak dropped 15+ gallons out of my 180 thru a bulk head. Nice with the fan and is that a de-humidifier? Those things are amazing. Hopefully sounds like a quick recovery

Skimmer setup for aeration tipped over due to a shotty stand and started pumping water onto the carpet from the sump. Thank god my ATO has a timed overide killswitch but it still pumped a fair amount of kalk water into the tank messing with salinity a little.

Thank you! And yes two industrial fans and two industrial dehumidifiers. Made quick work of it....but also had to do some work myself of peeling back carpet to expose the subfloor and saturated padding.

Pulled atleast 4 gallons of water out of the carpet with the dehumidifers. Stopped the process at about 10pm last night to pack everything up. All tanks got up to 85 degrees due to the exhaust on the units but no casualties. 12 hours total air out time. A little damp where the carpet wasnt able to be peeled up under the main display but im going to use baking sodaon the carpet today to remove the remainder of the moisture and odor that remains. The carpet is nice and crispy from the salt too lol.
