So guys and girls just wanted to see if anyone think this could have something to do with that! Lol
My reef is primarily SPS it's a 40B with 23 different common and rare SPS species. I'm lighting with a 6-bulb t5 Korallen Zurich bulbs. My tank is about 8 feet from a large window which I open the blinds to that window at about 9am every morning while the lights turn on at 12:00

My question here is do you feel the extra sunlight along with the t5 lights schedule from 12-11 with two hours on each end of just Blues the tank with the sun is not totally direct sun but I do get a nice direct line of sun in the morning.
Wondering what the experts say about the excess light especially sunlight?

Thanks,
Dan

I'm no lighting expert, but I adjust my schedule to accommodate the sun twice a year, as my tank is surrounded by windows in a corner. Full blast of sun.
(Thats for me)

For the tank,
1/2 year it gets hit early (winter), in summer it gets hit later in the day.

Average two hours of sun either end, I cut an hour or so constantly from what I run on the frag tanks, in another room.

I don't adjust anything on mine. I get morning sun one one end of the tank, and evening sun on the other. Nothing to worry about.

As long as it doesn't over heat it or generate algae, you should be ok imo.
