I've got about 40 polyps of sunny d palys and recently their green ring has slowly faded and the skirt isn't as curly. They're growing like crazy but just concerned at that nature. All my perimeters are in check, and I plan to add 13 additional LEDs to enhance color. Anyhow, any suggestion on why these palys are doing that? Thanks!

I run reef capable LEDs and they're only 6 months old when the life is typically 8-10 years. Thanks for the input though

Skirt shape changes are usually caused by flow changes... are your powerheads in need of cleaning? Color could be a lot of things

I too noticed this with my Sunny Ds. One day they're super bright and after awhile they would lose color. But I move mine around the frag tank a lot and they lose color when I frag them so I can't really compare.

But if I leave them alone, doesn't usually matter where, they will get their color back. I think it's more of a thing where they need to be kept in the same lighting in the same spot for a good amount of time.

Like Ninja said, skirts = flow.

I guess I could take a look at my powerheads. They're in low/moderate flow, but the guy I bought them from had them in low flow on his sand bed. So I'm not sure what adjustment would need to be made.
