Sunpole Magnus DC return pump

Hi, anyone around here using a Sunpole Magnus pump? I purchased the 6000L and impressions so far after unboxing is that this pump is built very well. The packaging is top notch and all components feel very solid and great quality. This pump is NOT a re branded generic DC pump and has been designed from scratch and made in Taiwan. The controller has a really nice feel to it too.

Haven’t run this pump yet, I’ve read a couple of positive reviews though. Haven’t found any negative info. Will be my return pump for my RSR XXL750 which will arrive next week so can wait to put this pump to service!

I don't have experience with that pump but here is a bump for you. I'm sure someone out there has used one.

This is a sine wave technology pump so very interesting to see (or hear) how quiet it is. I will definitely update once I get it going.

I have this guy in link. Havent tried it yet. But you will need the fittings i show in thread. They fit. I found the same fittings in sched 80 on some other site if you dont want those you can find them.

Handy info. I’ll be using the hose connection that comes with the RSRxxl750 though so should have everything I need.

So I have the Sunpole 6000L now running as the return for my RSRxxl750 and its on setting 4 of 6. I’m very happy with the flow from this pump and I honestly can’t hear it. I’m sure if the trickle noise went away and I put my head right into the sump I would hear it but I can’t hear it over the ambient noise in my house so I’m very happy. The controller works like any other DC but has a really nice feel to it. If this pump proves to be reliable than it’s a winner!

Honestly I love this pump. It’s dead quiet.. as in I actually can’t hear it even when I stick my head in my stand and try. Seems to stay clean too. Always starts perfectly after water changes and when the power is switched off/on it goes back to the setting you had it on.

As for reliability, it’s been running since Feb 2019 with no issues but that’s not really very long I suppose so time will tell. I have faith in it though based on its current performance and the feeling of high quality of the components.

Recommend 100% IME

They are good quality pumps. Should be a pump that lasts for years.

I purchased magnus sunpole 12000 in nov 2018. It sat in closet until aound dec 2019. It has been running around 3 months real well untill it totally burned up last night. Jusg fyi.

I will be updating my thread on it. Good luck.
