Sunset Monti not quite a Sunset Monti

I've had a little frag of this for about 2 months now and it is growing and the PE/color is awesome they are a vivid green. The problem I have is the orange background isn't as dark as it should be it is a light orange. I have it mid off-center in a 29 under 150 watt phoenix 14k and truelumen LED actinics, is it getting too much light? Should I move it more toward the side? I read that this coral likes a lot of light so I don't know what the problem is.

Thats beautiful and what mine looked like when I got it now its a light orange. Maybe I should move it up higher.

Put it in higher flow so the polyps move and allow the light to penetrate the body... I had that problem before and it was the polyps shading the body...

Under my 400w halides my polyps are almost non existant but it is vivid orange. Under my led's the polyps hang really far out. If you want to see the orange body put it under high light. If you want to see the neon green polyps put it in lower light.

It has plenty of flow that's for sure my mp10 makes sure of that. The weird thing to me is that it's growing, It seems like if it didn't like the spot it wouldn't be growing. I don't know if the growth indicates what it likes but it's growing away from the light.

good flow, medium-high light (not acro nuke) but higher then other montis. Under my t5/single halide combo my sunset was bright neon green polyps and orange base where exposed but the rest of it was a brownish/orange (under the polyps) since I switched to my new lumiarc 250w SE setup it's now getting a lot more light and really looks neon orange even behind the polyps.. here is a pic of it from the other nite. It's not getting a lot any flow from a PH but sits right near my overflow so a lot of water is moving by it

Shows the flesh colour a little better (even if out of focus), and my weird platting nana..
