The economy is very tight these days for many people, but that doesn’t stop them from keeping a reef tank. I had t5s and after putting on the leds, all I have to say is WOW. Seriously, the t5 spectrum may be great, but I felt that the leds looked much better on my tank. Well, there wasn’t much online about the light I bought for my tank. Fortunately, Wingo Led was there to answer all my questions. Alright, so I took the risk and went with the super d120 by wingo led. It is multispectrum and contains two red diodes and even a green. This feature was unique to only this type of light, for no other led of its nature mimics this. I am going to give you guys a full review in my appreciation for this cost effective light.

Pros
This light is very bright to the eye, even when turned on to 10%. I have noticed that many other companies fail to make their leds too bright and they are frequently lighter and tend to give a fade away look. For example, the kessils do this and it does take away from appearance. With this led setup, I was able to keep the spectrum of my t5s and even make the switch. Now you don’t hear that very often and this is one of the reasons people always turn back to t5s.
The fans are not obnoxiously large like on many led fixtures that are imported from china. They are decent size and I love the layout to be honest. Three fans going across the middle of the light evenly spaced to ensure the fixture is cool at all times. Furthermore, there are ventilation slots on the sides to disperse the heat with the air the fans are blowing creating a in and out cycle. The major factor for me is that the fans are silent unless you put your ear against them. The tank is in my living room, so it would be unsuitable to have a fixture that is a nuisance to everyone that steps into the room. Unlike my mp10, which gives off a vibration sound, this light is literally completely silent.
Optics were another factor for winning me over, as I was able to choose some of my preferring. This is what I really prefer about Wingo led because they were able to put on optics for me, so I will not have to hang the light. The 60 degree optics turned out to be too narrow and don’t cover the tank. However, the “aqua pro builder†was very lenient and has agreed to replace the light fixture with the 90 degrees once he gets them in. Major success right there and one of the main reasons I even went with this light. Since my fixture will stay on the tank, the 90 would be best to get spread. To hang it, one should go with the 60 degree optics because that will allow the light to penetrate with effect and avoid less light spill in the room!
The colors are flabbergasting to the eye and the penetration of the different colors in crazy. With mixing a little blue, red, and white I was able to create a light violet. Now that is just straight up sick. A surplus amount of lights can’t achieve this and the ones that can come with a shocking price tag. Without a doubt, these leds are one of the best on the market for the price.
On my search for leds I noticed a couple of important factors. Many of the high end led fixtures like the radion contain features that aren’t necessary. An example would be the lightning storms and ability to control with your computer. Sure those are the hints that technology is improving, but why pay more for something that you’re not going to use every day. Personally speaking, I wouldn’t play with the options of my light fixture forever and there would be a point when I would give into on and off.
Not all reef junkies have a controller to control their lights. Luckily, these lights come with dual dimmer knobs. A reefer can create so many different colors it is just mind boggling! Just a hint, if you place your fixture on the tank itself, some of the colors that are rare throughout will stick out. That’s why it is best to hang the fixture!
Cons
There are barely any cons to this light fixture at all. The fixture mimics this Chinese “black box†appearance that doesn’t appeal to my taste of sleek design. This fixture is worth so much more than the appearance of it which may make people hesitate. Let me tell you right off that the appearance may be misleading, but life comes with chances. Don’t judge a book my its cover!
Thank you Wingo led for all your support and for answering my questions. The service has been great and I am glad to say you truly understand the meaning of providing a service for your goods. With a standing ovation, I am proud to say I am the owner of “ tehnology of tomorrowâ€!
