Hi Folks,

I have a super finicky forest fire digi that I need help with.
I have 2 displays and a sump - the small display is half frag half nem/clown tank. All my frags live in there for some months before going to the main display. My digi absolutely loves my frag tank, it gets good polyp extension and great colour. But it hates my main display. I get no polyps at all. I have two pieces from the same original frag and the same response from both of them. I've tried to mimic the conditions in the frag tank, it only has an AI Prime and medium flow, so I put them in the main display half way down and semi shielded from the flow, no love. Tried at the top with high light and high flow, no dice. Tried an array of different positions and left them in these positions for several months each time. Nada.

Now, to throw a spanner in, I got a small blue/purple digi a few weeks ago, expoxied him straight down at the top of the tank in full flow. He's as happy as larry!

Maybe the forest fire is destined to live out his days in the frag tank....

Any advice?

You can see the difference in happiness in these pics.

I have the same thing with bubblegum digitata, it’s the only coral that isn’t happy in my tank. It grows, but not much polyp extension
