I mounted 3 frags on some rubble with super glue. This was my first time, yay glued fingers!! I will wear gloves next time. Anyways....I glued them all outside of the tank. The first one sat maybe 5 minutes while I glued the other two. I noticed a film cloud come from the glue when they hit the water and it pooled on the surface before being broken up and dispersed. Almost like an oily film. The next morning I noticed two monti digis have very reduced PE and some of them even look black where the polyp should be. My green slimer Acro appears to have black skin although the polyps are still out just not as much as usual. Oddly enough, the frags I glued look perfectly fine. They were a candy cane, a hammer and an orenji monti.

Did I mess up by not letting the glue dry before putting them back? I did use quite a bit of glue because I shoved the plug in a hole and didn’t want them to come out. It’s the super glue that came with a BRS frag kit in case anyone is wondering.

Can post pics later. I’m sitting at Walmart waiting for my groceries;Shifty

Was it super glue "gel"? So long as you use the "gel" there shouldn't be any issues. I actually dip the corals in the tank to speed up the drying process, but all frags, ect. go in the tank with the glue still wet. It sounds like you might have used regular super glue.

It was thick and not runny. It’s an all white tube that doesn’t have any brand or writing at all. It was in this BRS frag kit
