Does Dollar Tree super gel work?

If it is cyanoacrylate it is. Brand names really don't matter as long as it is cyanoacrylate .
I've used those small containers and find the amounts in them too little to glue more than 1 or two frags.
I usually look for 20 gram tubes or larger.

The cheapest source for Super Glue Gel I have found is a 10 pack at Harbor Fright for $3.50. The Dollar Store i used to purchase from no longer has gel.

I spend a little extra for the Locktite Ultra Liquid Control and Ultra Gel control. The little tubes are a mess, and they are dried up the next time. I’ve used the primer on wood projects, BTW once together you have no option to reposition, the wood.

Aquascaping (Dry rock):
Gel or Non-Gel Cyanoacrylate + sand + activator = good to go


Gluing Frags:
Gel Cyanoacrylate no activator = good to go

This conversation has me kind of chuckling. It's similar to a thread I saw a week ago about the different brands of Acetaminophen... Can I use Tylenol? Can I use Walgreens Pain reliever? Can I use CVS Extra Strength Pain relief? And the answer is always "If it says Acetaminophen, it's good." :-D
