So everyone says use gel superglue, I used clear gorilla glue and am kinda now freaking out about putting it in my tank. I ended up using it to glue together broken glass bottles and put them in my tank for decoration. Is Clear Gorilla Glue okay? Or do you HAVE to use a gel?

I have used both of these without any problems

Personally, I just get whatever superglue is at the dollar store, switched brands and types several times with 0 issues. It should be fine! I’ve also used both types of gorilla superglue (liquid and gel) with no issues! The reason everyone tells you to use the gel is for ease of control, not anything to do with it poisoning your water. Post a pic of the bottle thing tho! It sounds really cool

harbor freight gel super glue works well for me.

You can also try 3M glue. I think it will be a good choice to solve your issues. But Gorilla glue is rather good.

next time use acrylic sealant to put the pieces back together.
That super glue will work just fine.
Make sure you sand all the edges and all the seams

The gel helps fill some of the gaps a little easier, since the surfaces we are gluing are rarely flat. If they are too far away, can use epoxy putty, and glue that to the plug and the rock (the sandwich method).

I use both in my tank without issue.

@Frigus Reef just realized this is your thread. How you doing mate.
Heyo, I’m pretty good. I just bought a ten gallon aquarium and some silicone. I’m hopefully gonna be building an AIO system. My plan is to put another piece of glass in and use a surface skimmer to suck in water to the back. The pane of glass, the surface skimmer, and part of the return will be painted with a thin layer of concrete and I’ll probably stick on some oyster shells, barnacle pieces, coquina, live rock, et cetera. My goal is to make it look like those pier supports at the beach. I’ll hopefully be doing a thread soon after I get some plexiglass and complete the first step. How are you?
