hineed help on a decision on a tang. I had 5 acan frags arrived yesterday and when i looked at the tank today two of them had come unglued from their disks. so i got out the superglue, got the disks and acans on the edge of the tank and glued them back on. however, while doing that , one single drop of superglue dripped into the water, turned into a tiny white disk and started to sink tothe bottom where it was met by my purple tang who tried to eat it.
it is now stuck on the edge of its top lip. It can still eat, so i dont know what is best to do.
Should i tear down the tank, catch it and try to remove it or leave it ,hopeing it will eventually com off on its own
it was so funny at first, but i dont suppose it is really. I know it wont harm it, and i know it can eat so, anyone got any opinions

IIRC FishofHex had a video where he caught a fish with glue in its mouth. Lemme see if I can find it.

Definitely think you should take it off. Idk that I would tear a tank down but try to catch the fish.

EDIT: Here it is. Not sure if it helps but...

Didn't read enough to see it wasn't glued shut. That sounds not as serious.

That said, hearing from these more experienced reefers, even if it was glued shut, no big deal. Lol. Learn something new everyday.

I had this happen with my Magnificent Foxface a month or so ago. It came off after a couple hours. Very nerve wracking, but it generally does resolve itself.

Agreed, it happens all the time and usually causes no harm to the fish
