I don’t mind it if my corals were fine but they were dropping like flies. As mentioned before, my Duncan’s was doing really bad but then came back right away after I lowered it.
in fact, some people runs it high like 1. Supposedly high phosphate will prohibits calcium carbonate formation which growth. My sps are growing very slow, and I am suspecting due to high p04
That I can’t be sure. My Duncan’s were closed up really bad for about a week. After I added phosguard, it came back to life. That led to me to believe it was the p04.Look at something else or stability of Alk, I promise you a Duncan won't croke with high PO. In fact they'll probably be more vibrant..
how is your alkalinity has this increased?dang right, can’t wait to slowly getting it straight down to .1ish. My sps are growing slowly now
NopdHave you changed anything else during this time? LIghting, flow, alk, etc?
NopeNopd
How long did it take for you to drop down like that? Phosphate rx is on the way here next week. GFO definitely on my list for now.My po4 was at 1.16 and corals looked fine. Got the BRS GFO and carbon reactor. Now my po4 stay round 0.03 to 0.08.
You meant has my alk increased? It’s at around 8 to 8.5mine is 12ppb today, coming from 150ish it's been 1 week of using quantum phosphate remover on a reefer 250. I'm using 2ml per day a little bit of an overdose by 1ml though the tank is 6months old trying to get it ready for SPS. my problem was my rocks where leeching.
how is your alkalinity has this increased?
