Super long Bird of Paradise Polyps

Both of my BOP have really long polyps. Growth and coloration is good but I have not seen many pics of a BOP like this. Anyone know why this could be?

I can try and get a pic when I get home if needed.
 
Lot's of PE is a good sign typically but you may want to put it in an area of higher flow so the green base can still be seen. Members of the Pocilloporidae family usually show crazy PE under med-low flow. I would say finding a balance in between med-high flow would be better for the BOP.

My BOP is at the top of my tank under high light/heavy flow and it's doing extremely well. The fluorescent green base really pops

Here is a pic. It's really the underside. I mean the right hand side you can see a part in it when the flow tumbles that way. It's in good flow with other sps getting blasted by 2 RW-8 in else mode.
 
Yeah, mine looks like a shaggy beast on the underside. I think it is just the polyps in the dark reaching out as much as they can to try and get as much light as possible.

Ok that looks a lot like the underside of mine. Good call.
