I finally got my tank up and running 125G DT with roughly 30G sump. Dual overflow and two filter socks. The noise from the water dropping from the sock plate to the water level in the rest of the sump is super loud. What should I do about this?

Can try a lid over sump or that section of it. Or extend the pipes to be closer to the water. Just kinda something I learned to live with. Or maybe a sponge just below them to kinda pad the water falling

Extend the drain pipes to be closer to the water? They are about 1.5 to 2 inches below the water line. The drains go into a bubble box before the water rises high enough to flow over the top of the filter sock. When the water flows through the sock the 3 inches or so between the top of the sock and the actual sump water level is where all the noise is coming from.

Ah gotcha, couldn't see from the pics sorry

Could you try to tie up the bottom of the filter stocks with a rubber band? It would make the water (hopefully) hit the sock not the actual water level and as such quiet it down.

I fixed this by pullout the dual durso and replacing them with dual herbie and the return over the back of the tank. Perfectly silent!
