Hey I am setting up my next tank build extremely soon. Probably three or four months till I get the tank but I would like to hear some of your suggestions for some fish I haven't heard about. The tank size is Red Sea Reefer 250 54 gallon but if needed I can do A bit more gallons. The tank will have a mix of Soft, Zoas, LPS, SPS, and a few NPS corals.
The fish I plan in the next tank build is:
Hybrid Cleaner Goby
Pink Streaked Wrasse
Florida Keys Yellow Head Jawfish
Janss Pipefish Pair
Helfrichi Firefish
Blue/Green Mandarin Dragonet
Potters Wrasse
Pictus Blenny
Sunburst Anthias
Dragon Face Pipefish
Yasha Goby Pair
Golden Assessor
Rainford Goby

(Optional: Pintail Wrasse, Seahorses, and some other weird Goby)

Any other suggestions for a extremely peaceful tank would be great! I may also switch out a few fish that may not be compatible. Thank you!

All the fish you listed are super peaceful, the potter's might be difficult to keep alive as they have a tendency to not acclimate well...
Have you put any consideration into flasher wrasses?
They are truly stunning, and you'll thank me if you end up adding a couple down the road...

My LFS usually trains their Leopard wrasses on Mysis and currently have a Black Leopard Wrasse doing just fine. I have thought about Flasher wrasses and McCoskers get my attention. Thank you for reminding me about those wrasses I would've forgotten about them.

The truly stunning ones are Diamond Tails, Madagascar's, Mauritius', etc...
Harder to come by, and can be slightly expensive; not nearly as much as some basslets or tangs, but worth every penny!
When they flash at one another, your jaw literally drops in astonishment at the amazing colors that are unfolding in front of your eyes...

Looks good, those are some of my favorite fish. You may need to supplement your tank with pods.

I'm not sure if 2 different Pipefish species will coexist?

For other suggestions I really like green masked gobies. You could also have a big variety of cool inverts.

Man I saw a beautiful Mauritius (I think it was Mauritius) for $2,000 on DD yesterday. It was crazy beautiful

You will get a well conditioned fish from Rhinelander, that's for sure...
But you can find Mauritius' flashers for about half the price or less from cats like Colin @ZoaCollector, or @Pacific Island Aquatics whenever they have them in stock.
Drop them a line and see what's good

Here's my Madagascar, super rare and harder to find than the Mauritius...
He's transitioning to terminal but not quite there yet...
Got him from Colin, who simply is one of the best vendors out there!
Shortly after you place the order he calls you (who does this anymore?!) and walks you through everything...
Outstanding customer service!

Potter's wrasse, mandarin, and dragon face pipefish are a lot of pod eaters for that size tank. I would trim 2 of these off the list.

With RVS collecting in Madagascar, P. hemitaeniatus is now significantly easier to acquire than P. piscilineatus.

RVS is collecting them, but it's the first time they've ever made it into the states, unlike Mauritius' flashers which have been coming into the states for years...
Do you have one?
They're quite uncommon, and just because Jake from reefbuilders said they will be coming in regularly, it doesn't mean they will.
My two cents, but you're free to think what you want..

I'm not a big fan of replenishing pods every so often. My LFS usually trains all finicky eaters so I kept a few before with no problem (mandarin, bluestripe Pipefish, Black Leopard Wrasse). I think the pipefish should be fine as janss are usually med-top water while dragon face are on the rocks and sand. I have heard that janss are a bit more aggressive than other pipefish though so fingers crossed.

They've already been in 3 shipments from RVS in the last few weeks. They setup a collection station in Madagascar. And with the price that RVS is able to supply gem tangs from Madagascar they will be collecting there for the foreseeble future. Add to that, one of the big motivating reasons suppliers were doing Mauritius shipments was to bring in gem tangs, but the ones from Madagascar are landing them half the price, there will be fewer Mauritius shipments.

I don't have a Madagascar one, but I did order a Mauritius one that came DOA. RVS has a much better survival rate than Maneeka does on fairy and flasher wrasses.

Well, we can both agree that they need to step up efforts to collect diamond tails....
Haven't seen them offered for sale in nearly two years!

That may take more time. When they were coming in it was out of Kenya. From Madagascar they would likely be almost exclusive to the west side of the Island and RVS is collecting on the east side now.

Yep, they used to come in mixed with KwaZulu's....
Not anymore!

Unless you plan to feed a lot (3+ times a day) you will probably still want to supplement pods. While a lot of those fish can be trained onto frozen foods, they still need to eat very frequently and pods typically make up a large portion of their diet. I would just consider them eating frozen food as a bonus, but don't rely on it.

Thanks for the info! I will try to feed multiple times per day
