super skinny orange shoulder tang

My friend has had a orange shoulder for over 6 months but the last couple months its lost alot of weight. It eats like a horse though! He even feeds to 2-3 times a day now trying to put weight on it but its practically a skeleton. Thinking it is parasites or something. Anyone know what kind could cause this much weight loss and how to get rid of them?

Could be an internal parasite. The fish will continue to eat but all the nutrients are stolen by the parasite. If it doesn't improve maybe try medicating in a quarantine tank. I can't remember right now what the name of the medication was.

Yeah get it in a separate tank and treat it for parasites

I also recommend treating for intestinal worms. API General Cure should do the trick in a hospital tank.
