I got a small fingernail sized frag 3-4 months ago for my nano. Base was a very pale blue in the store and it hasn't changed in my tank. The polyps are also more orange than red. It's under moderately high light halfway down in the center of my LED lit tank, with moderate flow. Lighting is skewed a little blue but still fairly balanced. It is next to a rose milli that is doing well and getting about as much light as a red planet that is maintaining both red and green pigments. It is growing fairly well considering montis need time to take off. I'm beginning to believe the vibrant blues I see in pics are lighting or photoshop tricks.

Any suggestions?

Nothing shopped here. This is a true beauty and usually acclimates well. What LED's are you using?

I have a RapidLED DIY job with Cree LEDs. It's 28 LEDs over a 18 gal nano. 18 royal blue and 10 cool white. I don't think that is far from a typical setup. The lights are about 7 inches above the water and the monti is in the center halfway down or about 10 inches below water line. It's enough light to grow acros but probably not enough to turn my yellow tort or pink lemonade yellow anytime soon, although they are both higher up. I hate these subjective lighting measurements.

There's no trace of tissue left on it but no reason to remove it right away from the tank. If it doesn't come back (very likely that it won't imo) I won't replace it. Just not impressive in my tank.
