Superman montipora digitata????

Are you aware that's it's very difficult to maintain one that keeps an all blue base with red polyps? Most of the time only the tips have a bright red/blue contrast. I think it's harder to find because not many people like looking at a mostly brownish digi.

Aside from that I would PM a few of the vendors here on R2R that sell captive raised acros on a regular basis like battle corals, rocky mountain frags, etc...

Chris I maybe able to get one for you. But madreefer is right only the tips will stay at those colors. I sold my for that reason. I beleave that blue base is the new growth on them.

Yea I've had one for ever that I got in a trade. It never looked good. It's lost somewhere now and I don't really even care much.

I'm not saying a nice s-man digi isn't out there, I pretty much gave up on mine. If it had looked good when I got it I may have been more diligent about it. But it never did look even close to blue or red. To bad really. A true superman digi would be a sweet monti for sure.

Well that's not what I wanted to hear.

We just had our reef club meeting ata member's house who had an awesome piece of it, and it looked killer. But he also has a really nice system as well. Thanks for the input guys.

Ask Rhett to frag you one. I beleave that he got that from me but I maybe mistaken. Sold and traded alote of corals around that time.

I have one that'll keep it's color low 85par-500par I've had it for years and years and what I've noticed is it doesn't like high mag anything over 1600 and the red turns to white polyps !! I actually have spread it around to a lot of my friends and they've commented how it's the only superman anything that keeps color lol!

I had the one from the old Reefready, and it didn't look bad. Was duller than a superman monti, but still blue with red polyps. Never got it to large colony size, so who knows if it would have become more brown. Did not compare to the Pink Smoothie digi. Wonder who has that one, or 2, as there are a couple of varieties?

I just got a large colony from a local reefer, really nice blue but the polyps aren't red yet, most of the corals were bleached out from the old lights. I am in blacksburg va if you're ever close.
