I have a Harlequin tusk and 2 m/f Blue Jaw triggers. Does anyone have any recommendations about seafood i can get them for the supermarket or at the LFS? They are only 3-4" long right now but i would like to feed them more than Mysis.

I get shrimp, scallop, and squid from the markets and enrich it with Kent Zoe and selcon; A lb each cost me about $20, 3 lbs total. I chopped it all up into bite size chunks and freeze it. You can do smaller bags and flatten it out like a flat pack from the lfs and break off what you need. I have a pair of bluejaws and a tusk in my tank also. I also feed ocean nutrition trigger formula and formula one, I cut the cubes into bite size chunks. Clams on the half shell at the lfs, PE mysis it's higher in protein; krill and silversides if you want.

I did the exact same thing as lion King, but I used little ice cube trays to portion it out. I also used agar agar to use as a gelatin binder to keep it together. You can use regular gelatin, it's cheaper, but the agar adds calcium to the food. I also ground up a little seaweed and pellets to round out the food. Never had a problem with nitrates or phosphates and have been feeding mine this way since day 1. Also makes good coral food.

Chopped salmon, herring, tuna, scallops, oysters and shrimp.

I don't like gel binders, but I also have a lot of smaller fish.
