I'm wanting to add two strings of 12 LEDs to my existing setup, the first string being 12 UV and for the second string I was thinking 6 red and 6 neutral white for a little green spectrum. How does the second string sound? Is there anything better I could do with the second string to make it more beneficial to my coral?

I added supplemental LED lighting to my existing LED lighting.....I have 3 x 180 watt LED fixtures which only have Cree Cool White, Royal Blue and Blue LED's. I added violet (400 to 420nm), cyan (500 nm) and red (660nm) recently....can't give you a testimony on the results yet because I just received the lighting.

How does the color look, do you have a pic you can post? I was thinking about using cyan but the space I have left is very minimal. Maybe a cyan/magenta mix for me would be better?

The only thing is I don't want to make my aquarium darker by just adding allot of color without anymore whites.

Sorry I meant cyan/red mix, not cyan/magenta.

I was also thinking about a string of 6 cyan, 3 greens, and 3 blues. Would the 6 cyan leds be too overpowering? And would it be better to do 6 blues and 3 cyan instead?
