Just purchased the older style Radion for a new tank build (the prices were slashed by $150). I am wondering if it makes sense to add a 12.5 inch stunner strip at the UV-403nm range as the radium only goes as low as 450??

Any thoughts on the matter or other options without diy would be appreciated

If you need more actinic ( blue), I'd go with VHO actinic. I really liked the VHO 454 bulbs with my 250 watt radium.
I tried using a led ecoxotic panorama led strips with my T5 fixture and once the T5's came on, I saw no extra color. The T5's completely washed out any led color.

I am not so much interested in the color as I am the full spectrum- The Radion seems to have left out the lower end that some feel is necessary for coral growth- Continued thoughts??
