Let's say I am.runnimg AB+ on my lighting but I want a bit more coral pop. I don't want to play with my AB+ setting to achieve it. Now lets say I want to use a custom light bar to add that little extra pop. I have 36 x 3w emitters to use and have 3 spectrum ones to choose from that I think will give me what I am looking for. They are.
410-420nm
430-440nm
460-470nm.
Now the question is what emitters would you choose and in what ratio?
I realise the question is subjective and each to their own colour wise but it would be interesting to hear peoples views and recommendations on combinations of the above and why.

This subject can get pretty deep and quickly. You said you wanted more 'pop', so you'll need to do some research on which corals you want to keep, the type of colorful proteins they contain, and which wavelengths make them glow (fluoresce.) These wavelengths are called excitation wavelengths and it varies. See here for a listing of corals and excitation wavelengths:

Thanks again Dana, I realise it's not a black and white answer. I guess most of the SPS will have lots of green and or blue in there. I will read your link and try and fathom out they potential best combination of the emitters I have mentioned above. Thank you again for your replies and help, much appreciated.

Would love to know what you decide on and some pictures of the results:)

I am thinking of using coralife actinic t5 bulbs(got for $5 why them lol) for supplemental. Originally bought for a nano sps build but waiting for the current world situation to change before i finish that lol.
