I'm curious to know if over the counter vitamins can be used to supplement?

I was thinking about supplementing calcium and magnesium by using this:

Good idea? Bad idea? Why?
Looking at the ingredient list, I would say it is a bad idea. You would be adding more magnesium and phosphate to your system than I would want in mine compared to the amount of calcium contained in these tablets.

So then the trick might be to buy them individually. I would then be able to control the ratio between the two.

Bad idea for many reasons. These add a huge amount of phosphate (if they dissolve), they may not dissolve in seawater, they add alkalinity too, and would be very expensive realtive to other methods. :)
