Newbies here, have 120 gallon tank with mainly LPS and zoas. Just started dosing Red Sea Reef Foundation A, B, and Solutions form. Seems I am using about 15mL of the Ca, and 10mL of the Alk and 7.5 mL of the Magnesium daily to maintain my param (Ca 390, Alk 7.3 and Magnesium 1,200).

Which supplements that you would suggest that is good but not expensive (brs 2 parts or red sea powder or others?)

Looking for auto dosing pump, is Jebao reliable brand or brs pump with timer?

Thanks

There are many good ways to supplement calcoum and alkalintiy, and a two/three part is jsut one of them. I use limewater (kalkwasser) in my tank.

As to a two part systems, there are many good commercial brands and some DIY suppliers. I designed the BRS DIY two part and it seems to be a fine way to go. Not as perfect as some of the commercial ones, such as B-ionic from ESV, but much less expensive.

I compare the different methods pros and cons here:

As to dosing pump models, I don't really have a specific recommendation. I use BRS 1.1 mL per minute dosing pumps for vinegar and foods, but not a two part since I don't use one.
