Supporting PVC pipe basement sump

This project is taking forever, but I have all my plumbing dry fit and I'm concerned about what to do to support the rigid PVC drain and return pipes.

180 display with two 3/4" returns and two 1" drains, sump in basement.

Setting up a Herbie overflow and both drain lines go straight through the floor to the sump below no elbows or anything. The return pump has 2" pipe that I will run up to the ceiling of the basement and over, then use a T to reduce it to 3/4" into the tank.

What's the best way to support the pipes when the drains are straight vertical runs or is it ok to just let them hang?
And on the return pipe, if I put 2 PVC hangers on the short horizontal run before the T is that sufficient?

There are verticle pipe clamps.

Run a 2x behind your pipes if you dont have anything to screw to.

Support your pipes every 24 inch.

Ah, that makes sense for the vertical runs. I'll have to put in some 2x4s to mount the clamps to since there's nothing there in the basement at the moment.

Did either of you use a rubber coupling at all? I was thinking of adding one to dampen vibration and keep any additional stress off the glass should for any reason the pipe gets moved/bumped/smacked/etc. Basically where I would put a union near the floor to put a rubber coupling instead. Once it's altogether that shouldn't be any reason why anythign would move but just thinking it may add a little more safety down the road when a pump needs to be replaced or plumbing partially dismantled for a new sump...things like that.

My return line has about 2 feet of flex pvc in it, fir the turns, but it hangs over the top so there is no torque on the glass. Besides, I don’t have any vibration in that line anyway and it’s dead silent.

The overflows have about 2’ each of flex pvc for turns, but no rubber couplings. The 2 clic clamps immediately below the overflow box prevents any movement so I’m not to worried about stress.

I did oversized my floor holes by a couple mm - so that floor flex when people walk by doesnt push against the pipes. But I have 7 joists and a 10” lvl beam right under the tank so there isn’t any flex anyway

I've been using those same grey plastic 'clamps' - they work really well. Savko carries them as well.
