Just starting out, probably too small, but I want to see if we will enjoy the hobby enough before going too big . I am starting out with an old 50 gallon tank that my neighbor gave me when he moved up. Bought a 29 gallon to use for my sump. I stripped all the old silicone from the corners of the tank and am getting ready to reseal it, just taking my time. Will be building the stand, hopefully, this weekend. Then all the plumbing. I'm in no hurry and in between all the scraping and cleaning I've been reading a ton. Pics of what I'm working with and on at the moment below.

This is the DT I'll be using.

The sump that will go under it, still have to add baffles.

The corner of the DT. Should I take this apart and adjust? It has held for years like this, but I don't want to take any chances. And it's not the best looking corner I've seen.

Bird's eye view of the corner.

Looking forward to enjoying this for years to come. Or until I get some room in the house for a giant tank...
